2. Choose a unique and keyword-rich name for your product/service

Make sure to choose a proper product name since it is used to populate the Meta Title tag, H1 heading tag, and the URL of your page.

Meta Title tags are those clickable blue headlines that you can see on the results page. This element is very important both for users (when they decide whether to click your link in search results or not) and for search engines (one of the important factors in determining the relevance of a page to certain search queries).

When using keywords in a title, search engines will highlight them in the search results when a user sends a query with these keywords. This gives the user more reasons to click on your link. Moreover, many external sites, especially social networks, will use the title as an anchor link to your page. Google usually displays first 50-60 characters, make sure that your title is descriptive enough.

In terms of SEO promotion the title tag is still of great importance, H1 tag plays a primary role in the attractiveness of the page for site visitors.

Neglecting the importance and uniqueness of titles can cause indexing issues. The H1 tag is one of the main components of on-page SEO, as it provides the user with information about the contents of the page. Therefore, it is very important to add the main focus keyword to the H1 tag, so that the search engine and the user will understand what this page is about.

3. Make a relevant keyword-rich meta description

The meta description is a short paragraph of text (about 155-160 characters) that describes its content, this description will appear under your page URL on the search results page.

This is a valid and fairly effective way to influence the site’s look in the search results. A high-quality and valid description can have a direct impact on CTR, which in turn can affect the relevance of the web page. A descriptive meta can easily invite people from the search to some page of your site. This means that creating a good meta description is one of the main points of effective SEO optimization of the site.

Please note that the meta description should match the language of the site’s page, be brief but still informative. It is necessary to briefly and clearly express the essence of the page content. Place the most important part of the description closer to the beginning of the text.

4. Create a well-written and optimized text content for your product page

The promotion of an Internet resource to the top of SERPs depends on the content. It is the text content that becomes the main catalyst for traffic increase and profitability of the site itself. The text content of your web page is something that should simultaneously attract the attention of visitors and search engines.

Make sure to use both text and images to describe your products since search engines cannot read images. The text should be easy to read and understand. To do this, you need to use subheadings and diversify the content using bulleted and numbered lists, tables, and images.

You should write SEO texts using keywords wisely, not just randomly inserting them into the text, they should be used harmoniously. The semantic core of an article should consist of queries that are supposed to be revealed in the text. Do not insert keywords that are not directly related to the topic.

It is important to give the maximum of useful information, follow the structure of the article, and provide visualization of the content. Optimized text content is the main step towards increasing the rating and traffic of a website.

5. Optimize images

Images attract additional traffic while increasing attractiveness of your pages, but also they affect the loading speed and relevance of pages for certain queries. Images can improve the site’s visibility in search engines when properly optimized.

As mentioned before, Google cannot read images, so make sure that your images have descriptive alt’s and they match the meaning of the text around. Don’t forget to use keywords in the names of files.

Use image formats that are supported by all popular browsers and can be easily indexed by search engines (GIF, PNG, JPEG).

Reduce the weight of your images, because they have a major influence on your website’s speed. There’s a lot of image size optimization services that can losslessly reduce the file size.

Place images in the corresponding resolution. Avoid situations when the original image size exceeds the one displayed on a page. In this case, the browser has to scale the image itself, reducing the site’s performance.

 Use tags efficiently

Tags should correspond to your item and its use cases. They should describe your item, subject matter, context, possible uses, style, and mood.

Avoid using determiners, prepositions, and strange characters when tagging.

Use a maximum of 15 tags. Do not use the same tags for every item. Each tag should be relevant to the item it is applied to.

Misspelled tags will not come up in searches for correctly spelled words. You can check your spelling with online dictionaries.

7. Use internal linking

Use internal linking between your related item pages where it is appropriate. It is useful from an SEO perspective because you can familiarize your visitors with some other offers.

Include a relevant keyword in your link anchor text that can accurately describe the page that is linked.

8. Stick to the topic

The better and more accurately you stick to the proper topic and describe what a customer sees when they go to your web page, the higher the number of clicks and the conversion of search traffic to sales will be.

This helps the product pages not only to be adequately perceived by search engines and promoted to the top but also compete with other stores and marketplaces for the attention of potential buyers.

Search engines constantly strive to improve the quality of SERPs, so it is necessary to promote your product page comprehensively. This is working with the technical side, content as the deciding factor, convenience, usability, correct display on various devices, and backlinks growth. Follow these simple tips and they will help you to make your sales pages more effective and profitable.
